Using Augmented Reality (AR) with Intuiface experiences

I’d like to share an example of AR combined with an Intuiface demo from the Marketplace. If you have an iOS device, you’ll be able to experience it too.

  • Run Composer > Marketplace > Download the Jigsaw Puzzle
  • Solve the puzzle (it’s about pasta!)
  • Download the free Torch AR app on your iPhone or iPad (sorry, no Android support yet)
  • Open the following link from your iOS browser or your PC (it’ll generate a QR code if opened from your PC): https://home.torch.app/projects/view/Dq7w3us1VzWCxoxH0CgN
  • The link will automatically run the Torch app
  • Follow the instructions on your device to set an AR anchor (i.e. starting point)
  • Point the device to the solved Intuiface puzzle and here is your pasta dish in AR

Check out also the experience we created at the Intuiface booth at Digital Signage Expo 2019.

What digital signage scenarios do you think would benefit most from AR?

Very cool. I went to set this up, and regrettably Torch AR has been discontinued as of Sept. 1 2020. see URL: https://torch.app/

It’s sad to see such a good (and funded) startup go away. There are alternatives of course, such as Zappar, Adobe Aero, Spark AR by Facebook, but I really liked Torch.
