Intuiface meets Augmented Reality at Digital Signage Expo 2019

What happens when you combine Augmented Reality with interactive touch screen kiosks? Courtesy of the Intuiface team at Digital Signage Expo 2019 in Vegas, we were able to experiment this new mash-up at their booth. We used best in class technologies to demonstrate how you can bring to life a #realestate showcase using digital signage and mobile #AR.

Featured in this video:

  • Real estate demo created in Intuiface (you can find it on the marketplace)
  • 3D model extracted from a Matterport scan
  • AR experience authored using Torch AR app

How does the user “break away” from the target image on the monitor? I’ve been off AR prototyping for a bit but I thought the target image always had to be in view …wow.

@ken.geary when you use the Torch AR app on iOS, you can set interactions like in Intuiface. In this case, you can program ‘When tracker is recognized, show AR model’. Once the model is visible, it stays there. The tracker is just a mean to trigger a series of actions. Again, this is just this app behavior, whereas other apps just lock a 3D model to the tracker while it’s in sight.
