About a month ago, we introduced collection item reordering in the Content view of a Headless CMS base. We’ve just added an additional capability, which has prompted me to write. Let’s make sure you’re all aware!
Here’s what you can do:
- Left-click reordering:
Use it to move one or more items to any location in the collection.
Using your mouse, select one or more items by clicking their handles. Then click the insertion destination for these items - and they’re moved. Works with both vertical and horizontal collection orientations. And yes, you can use shift+click to select multiple items at once.
- Right-click reordering:
Use it to move a single item to one of four locations.
Right-click any item and use the pop-up menu to move that item to the front, to the back, one item to the left, or one item to the right.
We intend to introduce drag-and-drop reordering as well—maybe in a month or so. But you can already do everything with the left-click method.
