Multiple Videos with multiple Audio

Hi
We would like to play up to 4 videos simultaneously. Each video has an Audiotrack which should be heard over separate headphones.
Is there a way, to route audiotracks from videos to a specific audio-output?
thank you very much!
Tobi

Hello and Welcome @tobias.lutz,

Managing what audio output a video plays audio to is not something that can be done from within Intuiface.

If this is a feature you would like to see I would suggest mentioning it in our Community Wishilist..

Nexmosphere does offer an option to be able to switch the audio output between multiple outputs, but keep in mind 1 PC playing 4 videos still only have 1 output, the “sound card” of the PC. This output will go in the Nexmosphere input. The Nexmosphere device will then only enable you to select 1 (or more) outputs to be activated based on this single input.

Thanks for that @rdriscoll !

I guess Dolby Digital (5.1) is working neither? Even if I had a separate audio interface?

P.S. I met this friendly woman from Nexmosphere at ISE, nice to see her again

Hi @tobias.lutz,

I haven’t tested that in a long time, but “in theory”, if you have 4 videos that each only use 1 channel of a Dolby 5.1 (Use Mono audio and not stereo, Front/Rear with Left/Right to get 4 separate channels), then you might be able to get “4 different audio outputs” through a single Audio Out of your PC (1 video / channel would play on a given “speaker”).

Please note the quotes and “in theory” here

If you have the hardware to run such a test, I’d suggest you give it a try using our Player for Windows.

Please keep us posted on your results.

Best,

Seb

Hi @Seb

Thanks for your reply. That is, what I thougt too. Only restriction would be, if Intuiface is able to play Dolby 5.1 or not?
At the moment I haven’t the chance to test it, but maybe I can convince customer to give it a try.

br Tobi

Depending on the codecs used, if Windows Media Player can play such a Dolby 5.1 video, then Intuiface Player for Windows can too.

Hi @Seb
I’ll go with it  Thanks for your help!
If we get it, I’ll keep you updatet how it works.

all best
Tobi
