Could someone help me in the following sense? I’m starting with Composer and that’s why I don’t know. I imported an animated image (gif) and this image is distorted on the screen. Then I increase the width to stabilize, but a blank area and the image grow proportionally, thus remaining distorted. Can someone help me?

You can use the image Fill Behavior property to choose between Fit, Fill & Deform. See the documentation here.
Once you have resized your image, you can also right-click it and select “Fit container to content” to remove any empty space.
