Dear Intuiface Community,
In short:
If you or your customers need to monitor Intuiface Players without accessing the Intuiface CMS, this application is for you.
The full story:
Over the past month, I’ve been developing a web application that allows me, our support team, our customers, and their IT support teams to monitor Intuiface Players without granting access to the Intuiface CMS. This tool was created to address a common challenge: when customers are given access to the CMS dashboard, they gain access to everything within it. Additionally, some of our clients have Intuiface Players deployed across multiple locations and need a way for their IT teams to monitor player statuses without full CMS access.
Initially, I built a draft version using Microsoft Power Apps, a low-code development platform. However, I quickly discovered that making HTTP requests is a premium feature, meaning I’d have to pay for every user in my company. This led me to explore a no-code solution instead.
After a month of development (and running out of my daily prompts!), I finally created a functional web application. Once I was confident in its potential, I invested in additional resources to bring it to life.
Here’s what you need to know:
- App Link: https://dsplayerstatus.info
- Demo Video: Watch here (please excuse the stiff narration!)
- User Guide: Download the PDF
The application is fully functional, and I plan to add more features as I gain confidence in its performance. Best of all, it’s completely free—a small gift to the Intuiface community for Chinese New Year!
I hope you find it useful, and I welcome your feedback and suggestions for improvement.
