API Explorer Wish

Khelo,

A simple wish for the API Explorer to read from a local IP address or localhost. We want to be able to host our JSON/XML-generating web app in a local server within the office. Currently, the API Explorer reads only from a valid external URL. We run out of bandwidth when 30 players read from a web server every few minutes. Thank you.

You can run local request via the API explorer? What seems to be the issue?

I can pull this in via localhost

http://localhost/json/test_Emergencies.json?

Did you press yes to selecting a local request?

@ahmed As Louie said, this feature already exists. When entering a local URL, you should see a screen like below. Click on “send it” to allow the API Explorer to talk to your local server and you should get your feed in the results box.

Thanks, Louie. For some reason, we did not succeed. I will go back and try again.
