Ability to scrub video

I’d love the ability to bind a video timeline to an object. As I move the object, the video scrubs to the desired frame / moment. This feature would make it easier to find specific content in a video, offer a slow motion feature, and unlock new and creative UIs based on motion graphics. Right now I can only read the value of the video Current Time. It’d be a matter to make it bindable.

Demo: Simulating Video Scrubbing with Interactivity

I’m sharing a demo XP that simulates video scrubbing with added interactivity. Currently, Intuiface does not offer a direct method to dynamically control video positions through external value bindings.

The workaround involves exporting a video as a sequence of images and then importing these images into a swap collection. This setup allows the ‘index in focus’ property—which corresponds to individual frames—to be bound to any desired control, such as a scroll collection in this instance. Scrolling up and down adjusts the frame position, effectively scrubbing the video forward or backward.

Annotations are integrated by defining specific frames at which an asset becomes visible or hidden, providing context directly linked to the video sequence.

Feel free to download and explore the demo.
